Classic Matcha Latte for clarity and focus
There is nothing like starting the day with a good cup of a Matcha Latte. When I need an extra boost in concentration but still maintaining a grounding focus, that's the first option I think of - it gives a natural energy boost without the jitters — the perfect way to fuel my day. It helps tremendously people that experience mental fatigue, having a difficult time to focus. Matcha tea, a unique type of green tea cherished for centuries in China and Japan, is made from the finely ground leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant. The plants are grown in the shade, enhancing their chlorophyll and amino acids and resulting in a vibrant green color. Unlike other green teas, matcha utilizes the entire tea leaf, leading to a higher nutrient content.  Make sure to choose a pure matcha powder, to ensure the best nutritional value.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of plant-based milk (preferably something neutral like oat milk or rice milk)

  • 1g of Matcha Powder (approx. 1 tsp)

  • Hot water (just enough to dissolve the powder)

Directions:

  1. Sift your matcha so it is lump-free.

  2. Spoon the matcha into a large mug. Add the hot water (if you boil it wait until it cools down, water needs to be at approx. 80ºC, so it doesn’t affect the matcha properties) and whisk briskly, making a W motion, until frothy - about 30 seconds or so.

  3. Warm the plant-based milk and add it.

  4. Mix until well combined.

Especially Good For

Anyone that suffers from fatigue, tends to have water retention, feels always hot and thirst.

TIP

If you have cold hands and feet (in TCM means that you have a more Yin Body Type Constitution), don’t drink it every day. Intercalate with other hot beverages.
